I purchased A Gateway “essentials” computer system recently and received within the package deal a "free" Canon BJC 2110 printer.
Beings this is the first computer of my very own; let me start by saying, I am VERY happy. I have used many computer set-ups at Work over the past 15 years and I must say, my home version does everything I expect it to.
My comment here concerns the printer. Yes it prints, and very well I might add. Here are my complaints: (1) The printed page is NOT like what I am used to with the LaserJet printer’s I have used. If you get water near the printed page, the ink will run! Mainly, this is because my BJC 2110 is a bubble jet (ink jet) printer. The images are not “burned” onto the pages like with a LaserJet printer. Fine, as long as I get something printed, that is OK.
(2) It is very EXPENSIVE to run this printer. I have owned my computer for 3 months and have put at least 5 cartridges (1 color, 4 black) into it. At 10 to 20 dollars a pop, that is expensive! I am looking into the refill method, but don’t have $60.00 to invest at the moment.
