Making Movies Look Easy!!

Written: May 16 '00 (Updated May 16 '00)
Pros:Ease of use, Some Great Features, Great Price!
Cons:No Digital Video Support

MGI VideoWave II turned out to be quite a treat. I really did not know what to expect from this video software. At first look the menu system seems almost to simple- I assumed the program would be a sour grape. Boy, was I wrong.

VideoWave II is a fine all around SOHO video production package. I had no problem finding my way around. The program uses a storyboard approach- that I think, works really well. Drag & Drop videos from the story panel in the order you like, add multi-tracks of audio (-up to Six), set transitions, add a few special effect and WHAM! You're Making Movies.

This is not a replacement for semi pro video software like Adobe Premeire,
but it doesn’t cost $500 bucks. You'll find VideoWave contains most of main features you need to make a fine little movie. Whether it be: adding some Scrolling text, a few Transitions or maybe even some fancy 'Picture in Picture FXs' this program makes it easy.

I would recommend this Video Software to anyone how's just starting out and is looking to start making some movies from the get go. With its easy learning curve, great interactive tutorial and some really nice features. Plus, lets not forget about its fantastic price. This program turned out to be a real winner!

Regards

A note: ( MGI's VideoWave III supports FireWire IEEE-1394 for direct digital input from you digital video CAM )
