This product has been recalled. Along with Asus's own Dram to Rambus MTH solution, this motherboard featured an Intel i820 chip with the Memory Translator Hub (MTH chip) that has been recalled by Intel due to it having more than it's fair share of problems.
And speaking of problems, let me tell you they do exist. The first problem is that Intel took it's sweet time disclosing was the driver/INF update utility problem in the driver that was released with this motherboard. If you install this driver , it will cause a un-repairable registry error, forcing you to reboot.
The company I was contracted to fix a customers problem with this, since I didn't know what was doing it, I slowly reinstalled the machine several times, untill I determined what was the problem (the INF driver), this poor lady wound up with basically a crippled machine. Intel has since released an update that is supposed to correct this problem.
The second problem (which wasn't apparent) was the MTH issue, and because of the way businesses work, you will not get a refund or exchange unless you actually know that you have the MTH chip, they will not call you to warn you about the problem and to bring the computer in.
Asus makes some of the best motherboards for PC's however this problem with the MTH chip may have cost Asus some bad PR, and a lot of money.
