CABLE MODEM THE ONLY WAY TO GO!

Our small town in Iowa was the first place in Iowa to get wired by cable modems. Before I had the cable modem I was on AOL. The dial up connection drove me nuts, couldn't get connected half of the time other times when you were online out of the blue you would get dumped.
As soon as I could get a cable modem at my home I did. That is one of the greatest choices I have ever made.
Let me tell you about the plus side of having cable modem. First you never have to dial up an ISP again. That is just awesome, just go sit at your computer and take off surfing the internet. Another plus about a cable modem is the speed of downloading and accessing web pages.
I can at almost anytime day or night download a 10 mb file in about 4 to 5 min. It is just awesome.
It seems like I am always helping a friend with there computer and they have dial up. If I have to download something with there computer, I could almost pull out what Hair I have left and that isn't very much.
Yes,the cost of the cable modem is some what higher than dial up but for the $10 to $15 a month more it is worth it.
You never have to tie up your phone line again or have to get a second line.
My down time in the last 3 years with the cable modem has been at the most maybe 3 hours total. That's not bad for 3 years of having the service.
I have to admit sometimes but not very often the cable modem does get bogged down, but even at it slowest speed it is still way faster than dial up.
So if you have the chance to get a cable modem on your computer, you will not be sorry for spending the extra money to get the best connection out there.
