For serious gamers this card is definitely king of bang for the buck. With surround sound support, audio acceleration, and industry standard compatibility wrapped into a $40 package, it can't be beat.
Sound quality from this card is top notch as is stability. With EAX and support for surround sound gaming, you will think you're actually inside the game. Ever play Delta Force 2 with surround? Being able to tell a guy is sneaking up on you from behind and turning around just in time to blow him away definitely has its benefits.
This card may not be so good of value to a musician or someone with a fully Dolby setup with digital connections, because it is lacking the digital output that the MP3+ or Xgamer has, but sound quality of most normal computer speakers can't really benefit from these connections anyway. If you need a midi input, look to the Platinum, but at $200, it can't put the hurt on.
