Even at a low price - Bad Choice

aircomputers's Full Review: Altec Lansing ACS 22 Computer Speakers
The Altec Lansing ACS22 powered speaker set proved to be a great disappointment. This is too bad considering the usually high quality products from this manufacturer. As a computer retailer, I had the opportunity to sell 6 sets of these speakers before pulling them from the shelves permanently. Over a period of 2 months 4 out of 6 sets went bad. The pattern of failure was always the same in that the left channel was blowing consistently. I even had my demo set go bad (so I can reasonably say they were not blowing from abuse). I exchanged my customers ACS22's for Creative Labs at a similar price.
