Bright.Net is a service provider that focuses on the non-urban areas of Ohio. They have been expanding to other areas, but slowly.

A couple years back they had some major growing pains - frequent busy signals, lack of 56k support, and generally slow access. In recent months things have been better, but they still show signs of being a "mom & pop shop". Mail servers still go down during the day for updates and repairs, but busy signals are all but gone.

For a nationwide ISP, these problems would put a company under. Because of Bright Net's focus area, they are frequently the ONLY service provider serving an area. If they are all you can get, take them. Otherwise, look for nationwide ISP with more reliable service.
