Great to play with your child

Pros:great for child and parent
Cons:takes awhile to get to the "race"
This was the first Putt Putt software we bought for our son, who was almost 4 at the time.
This is software that teaches a variety of skills, and it's done in a way that children don't realize they are really learning.
The game starts out with Putt Putt wanting to enter a race, but before he can, Redline Rick has given Putt Putt a list of items he will need before he can start the race. Some of the items he needs to find are a helmet for his dog Pep, a flag that he need to put his number on, new tires, and some high octane gas.
As Putt Putt looks for these items, he encounters other characters that need Putt Putts help. He goes to the farm to pick up 3 items. The farm is a maze that the child has to get through to get the vegetables and put them in the basket.
There are also items on the road for Putt Putt to pick up along the way to use in helping another characters. He picks up soda bottles on the road to recycle, he finds a hook that a tow truck as dropped, and Putt Putt returns it to him. He needs to get a tire patch and deliver it.
The only problem we encountered with this game was how long it takes to actually get to the "race". Putt Putt needs to find the items before he can get to the race, and when an item is found Putt Putt will need to do another task before he can get the item, and a 3 1/2 year old doesn't have the patience. You are able to save the game and come back later to play. My son is now 5, and he enjoys it a lot more now.
This game teaches some really good skills, and it's a great game to play with your child.
