Gateway has been Great!

I am enjoying my Gateway computer system. My cousin had a system that she was very happy with, & when I was shopping for my third system, I decided to go the Gateway route. Both of my prior purchases had been with a traditional retail "go get it & bring it home" type of situation. I was a bit apprehensive at doing the "over the phone & by mail" computer purchase. I needn't have been worried at all...
From my first contact with the polite & knowledgeable sales department to delivery to my door it all went slick as a whistle! I had did a lot of homework re: pricing etc. & was very happy with the deal I got with Gateway. I participated in the "YourWare" program, so in two years I can "trade it in" for a newer model.
I had a bit of a problem with my monitor, but not to worry...they immediately shipped me a new one & I slapped the return postage (courtesy of Gateway) on the original monitor & sent it back. Problem solved.
The technical staff was very helpful the few times I needed them. I must add that the phone wait time has always been minimal. The documentation that comes with the system is very informative, so I didn't need much help. I was very impressed with the quality of my system. Everything was top line.
I have purchased several add-ons from Gateway & was happy with all purchases.
The only thing that you must be clear on is the current arrangement of the Gateway Website. There are two very different branches: 1. Gateway & 2. Gateway Accessories Store. Gateway Accessories Store is actually a separate company, & the items do not come from Gateway. I noticed a price difference in the same item that Gateway had available from it's add-on department & Gateway Accessories Store had in its inventory. Gateway Accessories had the lower price by over $50.00! You have to be careful, because they are both on the same website. So do your homework & make sure you know your prices!
All in all, I am completely happy with Gateway & would recommend them to everyone! My next computer purchase will be with them.
