Several months ago I began to research for the purchase of a computer. I spent numerous hours going from one web site to the next comparing this and that.
I was looking for a good solid model, and a well known name. Electing to build my own computer, I started in with several well known brands, adding what my minimum requirements were and then comparing prices.
Well lo and behold, the IBM aptiva 801 came out at the top of the list, with much more then my minimum requirements. I was not in the least surprised to have this purchase go as smoothly as it did. Tech help was available every step of the way. I was treated very well by the support people and every question was answered, right down to the dumbest ones imaginable.
This computer has purred like a kitten from day one and I am sure it will continue to, until I replace it in a few years with another IBM.
The one thing I didn't want for a computer was a flimsy piece of tin, like so many I looked at in the local stores. I wanted a solid piece of equipment, and that is exactly what I got.
Don't forget to have a cd burner installed with your IBM. This has more then paid for itself already!
