| EvanSM's Full Review: Iomega Zip 250 External SCSI Drive |
Being an avid Iomega fan, I purchased the Zip 250 after years of using the Zip 100. And not to my surprise, the Zip 250 was simply an improvement on an old idea.
Firstly, the Zip 250 has great storage capabilities. Having the ability to store up to 250 megabytes of information on one disk that's VERY hard to damage is amazing. Unlike CDs, Zip disks are very rugged. I've dropped mine down flights of stairs, picked them up, and then proceeded to use them in my laptop.
Secondly, the Zip 250 is very portable. It's sleek and small design makes it perfect for travelling, especially with a laptop. Even though it comes with a SCSI port, you can still buy adaptors to connect it to a USB Powerbook.
Thirdly, the Zip 250 is relatively inexpensive. While other storage devices, such as CD-RWs, can cost over $400, most Zip 250s don't surpass $200. Even disks are cheap, costing as little as $10 if bought in large quantities.
This product can benefit basically anyone with a computer. It's storage capabilities alone make it a must buy for anyone who needs additional hard drive space.
