I had my first experience with Flooz in June of 2000 with a Father's Day gift. My father-in-law is not real easy to buy for, and while racking our brains for something to give him I read about Flooz and thought, "why not?"

We decided to send Flooz since we had no earthly idea what to get him, and even if we had purchased him something we would have had to ship it to him. So why not go to the internet and find another option? We opted for $30 of Flooz for him, which earned $15 of Flooz for ourselves. (Not too bad!) Had we sent $50 or more we would have earned $25 in free Flooz, but we have bills to pay too you know.

For those of you unfamiliar with Flooz, it is like intenet currency that you spend online. I guess you could compare it to a webcertificate. When you send Flooz to someone, the amount you send is charged to your credit card. The Flooz is e-mailed to the recipient and they can spend it at any of the online merchants associated with Flooz.com. Most of the time Flooz has a promotion going on, so if you send a set amount of Flooz to one or several people, they will credit your account with a set amount of Flooz. In our case, we received $15 for sending $30.

I did a little research before purchasing the Flooz so I could be sure dad would have somewhere to shop, and I was very pleased to find 60 online merchants who accept Flooz as payment, including places like Fogdog, Barnes and Noble, Starbucks, Mothernature, Chipshot...all sites I have heard of and even bought from so I know they are trustworthy and good quality places to shop. (Dad should be happy, there were 5 different sports merchants to choose from.) I am sure he will be able to find something he wants. I have not quite decided what to spend my Flooz on yet, but have searched through some of the merchants and I probably won't have a hard time finding something for myself either.

As far as the process of purchasing the Flooz, it took me all of 2 minutes, max. The website is very easy to use, completely understandable and hassle-free. My account was also credited with my Flooz immediately, and I am sure Dad's was as well. I cannot comment on customer service because everything went smoothly and I did not have to contact them. I will most definitely be sending more Flooz in the future.
