*I’ve happily owned a Gateway G6-350 desktop computer for two years now. It is BEAUCOUP computer for the money; let’s just say I have been very pleased with the package. When I first decided to buy a new computer, I considered Gateway because I had heard nothing but good things from those who had them. I couldn’t find one person who would badmouth Gateway (although I wasn’t a member of THIS site at the time!) Just to be thorough I also looked at Dells, Compaqs, and several others. As good as some of those looked, I found myself going back to looking at Gateways. I finally decided to go Gateway, and I called them up to place my order. The guy who assisted me was very helpful; he listened to me when I described what kind of computer I was looking for. He responded to what I told him and went over my options with me. Although they were very busy with orders at the time, he was still able to give me a definite (& acceptable) timeframe for the computer’s shipment. He gave me a total on the spot, and I mailed them a check the next day. That’s all I had to do. It was as simple as that. There are also numerous Gateway Store branches throughout the U.S., where full demonstration access is provided to the computers for sale. The store branches are ideal for those who would rather purchase their computer in the environment of an established, local store.

The computer was delivered UPS, right on schedule. Setting it up was painless; instructions are clear enough for those who are just getting started with computers. Wires are even color coordinated with their respective ports on the computer. Preinstalled software worked together seamlessly.

I’ve been using their email support system when I have a problem with the computer itself. Their replies have always been thorough and helpful. Summation: get a Gateway! They have a computer for YOU.
