The world is divided into PC people, and MAC people. I am thoroughly a PC person, but the new G4s seemed to be a better bargain for the money. That was until I realized they did not come with a monitor. I spent countless hours comparing Compaqs and Gateways and Dells. And what I found was that Dell had the best value for the buck. For slightly less then 1500 dollars, I got a dvd player, 128 megs of memory a 17” monitor and a 700 MhZ processor. This is the greatest machine I could have bought for that little money. Even the cheap included speakers are wonderful.
The only negative things I have to say about the whole system is that when you start it up, it insists on trying to sign you up for dellnet, Dell’s own internet service provider. Other then that annoying little “feature”, the whole thing is wonderful.
I will happily recommend Dell to any and all of my friends, as it is by far the most impressive, and in-expensive way to buy a descent computer.
