More Travels with ThinkPad

Mar 25 '00

When visiting countries with variable kinds of electric supply a really good feature of ThinkPad is the AC Adapter cord available at an extra charge from IBM. IBM makes an AC Adapter cord for its ThinkPads that can be used with electric currents of between 110 and 240 volts.
You still may need to purchase an adapter for your plug because the two pronged or three pronged plug used in America is not always available but the power supply is the main problem. Japan has a two pronged plug not three pronged and Korea uses a two pronged plug with a different size of prongs.
