Windows Me (Millennium Edition)

Let me start out saying I just got the Windows Me Promotional Step-Up.
The reason I got this , I was looking for the Go Back to put into my computer, as I lost all my favorites and if I had this in my computer I could have restored my computer to an earlier date and still have all my music and other things I treasured.

The man at Office Max , told me about Windows Me, and said it would be coming out for about the same price as the Go Back in the middle of Sept.So this sounded good to me.As the price of the Go Back was $50.00 and the Windows Me Step-up he said would be $60.00, until Jan 15,2001 when it would cost $109.00.(But when it came out it was only $49.99 at Best Buy)which was the same price I would have paid for the Go Back.

Now let me tell you a few things about Me.
Windows Movie Maker is one of the prominent addition to Windows Me.The best feature of Movie Maker is that it automatically breaks your videos into manageable clips by detecting scene changes. This makes it easy to find and delete unwanted footage. Movie Maker is a nice tool, but it isn't very different from other video editing applications. So I don't think it should be the main reason to upgrade to Windows Me.

Here is the reasons I decided to get the Windows Me step-up.
To protect my system Files.Your computer contains dozens of special files that hold important information about your hardware and software and critical instructions for making your system work.Well the Me's File protection prevents these files from being overwritten, or deleted or corrupted. This automatic function will increase the stability and reliability of your computer.
But the most important feature for me was the System Restore, a utility that restores your system to a previous stable configuration.

PC health is the most important addition to Windows for the home user. If you're plagued by configuration glitches, you may want to invest to upgrade to Windows Me.

Window Me is great for Digital Pictures, which includes Windows Image Acquisition, a new way for scanners and digital cameras to communicate with computers.

Me comes with online games like backgammon,checkers,hearts, which you can play against online opponents. You can even chat with your opponents as you play.

Now the question.
Is window me worth the price to upgrade, like I said in the beginning for me it was just to get the system restore in my computer, plus I am getting a few extras for my money.

But the bottom line here is, Windows Me offers interesting features that will be useful though not essential to many people.For me the most important reason to upgrade is the increased reliability made to your system's PC Health.If you have a lot of problems with your windows configuration, upgrade to Windows Me!!
