Fujitsu B series

I was looking for a light weight powerhouse -> to get me through my travels & the Fujitsu B - series is a definate winner - but with all winners there are some drawbacks - the 112 & 142 are the series the 112 is a tad slower ; the 142 is the newer of the models - sporting a 300 celeron - the hardest thing to get use to is the keyboard - it takes some practive to get use to the keys - the keys have a nice feel but if you have large hands it might really get to you - the keys that is. The machine is very nice - it has a cystal crisp screen - capable of being seen at in my epinion any angle - the ample 6.4 H.D. is great & the prtability is bar none Excellent - compare to the Sony 505 - I would take the Fujitsu due to the space & the Touch Screen is a cool feature also.
The cost of $1799 here in Nyc - was not that bad when compared to other portables like the sony or the toshiba. The only major drawback here was the option of no cd rom - all ports are external like the 3.5 drive & the cd - but you have to go buy a cd - now a days that will run you maybe $ 150. - 200. so it is not that bad - but it would have been nice if Fujitsu included it - instead of it being dangled out there like it was an option - you need it & they know it ! Overall the Machine is Great / Excellent work horse for those who are not doing anything extreme - it will keep you in contact when away & store your files with space left over - so thumbs up for Fujitsu here !
