This is a video card that was based on Nvidia's reasonably popular TNT 2 chipset. I personally never reall rated the chipset but I do know people who thought it was quite respectable in it's time. The M64 version that I am talking about here was and still is available in 16 Mb and 32 Mb versions. The M64 after the name means that its a cut down version so a TNT 2 M64 is cut down on the original TNT 2 chipset. It still does a respectable job in most applications but im afraid that todays latest games are a bit too much for it so if you buy one of these cards then don't expect miracles from it. Despite all this theres no need to slate the card too much because you can get them for around £55-00 nowadays and when you see that it is still quite capable of running games like Half Life fine then theres a fair old number of systems that this card will do some sterling service in. However if you've got anything beyond an AMD K6-2 processor then im afraid that this card will hold back the processor and will leave the CPU hanging around twiddling it's thumbs waiting for things to do.
Overall a nice little card similar to S3's Savage 4 chipset that will do a great job in older systems but not in todays heavy demanding games im afraid. The perfect upgrade for a system with a Voodoo 2 or Banshee card and the PCI version will make a particularly good upgrade for a motherboard whose AGP slot is taken up by onboard graphics.
