I bought this card in April '00 for about $130. I got it because I had previously been using a Permedia 2 card with 4 megs, and wanted to upgrade it for much better performance overall, and to play some games as the requirements have increased and the computer couldn't run hardly any that were coming out at the time because of the lack of memory. I thought that I would be doing more work on graphics, and that prompted me to choose the 3DLabs card. As far as performance and price, I considered this card over the Oxygen cards as I thought they were a little steep. I haven't really had any problems at all with the card, the drivers have worked extremely well under Windows 98 and 2000. One problem I have had is some slight lockups while playing Unreal Tournament. I am not sure if it is because the game uses glide, but for some reason the game doesn't function well with the card. I haven't had any problems with any other programs though. All in all, a great card for the money. I probably wouldn't recommend it for most users who are looking for something to run the latest games, but is great for someone who uses a workstation for games as well as business.
