| Coven2's Full Review: Compaq Presario 5365 |
My grandparents were looking to buy a computer recently and being that I know a lot about this sort of thing , they took me with them and I helped them pick out a well designed Compaq Presario.
Plug-&-Play...?
****
The one great thing about this computer among others is its ease to set-up and use. When we brought this computer home , I hooked this baby up in less then 10 minutes. I was able to download all the software needed in less the 20 minutes and we were set to go. My grandparents were extremely please with it and so was I. There are approximately 5-10 plugs to plug in , which is about moderate , but the sockets are easily
noticeable and you can tell the difference without much expertise at this kind of thing.
Speed
*****
This computer excels at speed. The download time for the software is what really amazed me. I was able to download everything for this computer, like I said in about 10-20 minutes. But get this... there were 10 different programs to download. This was so amazing that I had to call up my friend and tell him. The next day , because he was looking for a computer , bought the same exact one. This is one of the faster computer's I have seen in awhile.
Software
****
The software that was included in this package was reasonable and average at best. There is a pinball game, a golf game ,a motortruck game, Encarta , Comptons , some kind of Biology program and a math program to say the least. These programs are best suited for children but are fun nonetheless and also .. my grandfather seemed to like the pinball game... how odd..
Memory
*****
Again this computer excels here. The memory contained in this computer is also astounding. I looked to see , before I installed any programs how much was there and there was a staggering 10 GB. This I thought was great compared to my older and less efficient Compaq Presario 1525.
Port and HardDrive
****
The Computer itself came with a cd-rom and also included a CD-RW for the use of burning of cds. This was quite useful and also contained a bunch of programs , including the critically acclaimed Adaptec Easy Cd Creator. The processor in my computer was an AMD Athlon Processor ,(excuse me if I'm wrong, I didn't really take a look at that portion.)and it had a 40 GB hard drive.
Technical Help
?????
I haven't had to use it as of yet , but I figure that it will be helpful and will update my review when I find out...
Overall
*****
This computer is a must buy for people that have children in Middle School to High School because of the useful programs and the fast use that its processor enables.
