This printer is one of the best printers for large companies that need to do a lot of printing. Very fast print page speed and very easy to maintain. As an option, you can put the printer on top of another section for a tray 3 and 4 (picture shows just trays 1 and 2) which will greatly enchance paper options and amount of paper to be printed. You could have letterheads in one tray, legal in another and leave two trays available for letter (8.5 x 11).
On a troubleshooting standpoint and fixing problems, everything is pretty accessible on this printer to fix most problems. In fact, one of the wearable parts that are in most HP laserjet lines deal with the rollers that pickup the paper. With the added extension, you can temporarily switch a lot of rollers around while replacements are on the way. Approx a year ago there were a shortage of those particular parts, so it gives a good temporary solution until something permanent comes along. If you're not sure of what I'm talking about, there are a series of "rollers" that pick up the paper to feed through the printer. The ones that wear out the most are the ones closest to the loading trays. The rollers themselves are textured initially but eventually wear down (ours started to wear down after about 150k-200k of pages). They are VERY easy to replace, however if there is a shortage of parts, you might be stuck with a printer that gives paper jams. At least with this particular model, you can switch from a tray rarely used to a bigger sized tray temporarily if the situation ever arises.
One bad thing about the printer is overall cost and toner cost. However, if you look at the amount printing to be expected vs. another printer, it's actually reasonably priced. I would not suggest this printer for either a small group of people or a group that does not print a lot of work. If that is the case, I'd suggest the HP 4000 series (4050 is the current model) which would be a better alternative and somewhat similar.
One last comment, since I've been working for my company (6 months now), we've got approx 20 HP 8000's and we haven't had to put in a service call yet. So they are very reliable and well worth the money.
