Skeptical about plinking down $150 for a joystick steering wheel and pedals for a computer? Think people are crazy paying that much for a steering wheel that "vibrates"?
I was one of those persons... until I had a chance to try my friend's ACT Labs Force RS and now I'm the proud owner of an ACT Labs Force RS *with* Shifter!
If you're like me, a person who likes to drive or cruise; a person who likes to speed. And you can enjoy the fun of adding realism to a simulation, then the ACT Labs Force RS is for YOU! I loved playing car racing games on my computer, but with the keyboard, the fun only goes so far. The ACT Labs Force RS changes the rules. Mainly:
* 280 degrees of turning on the wheel. Most others are only 180 degrees.
* Force feedback. You know how important is it is to "feel" the road in real life. Now you can in the games too! It has the most powerful motor out of all the competitors.
* Do you like buttons? It has TONS of them.
* USB support. Ah! Now you have something to plug into that weird flat connector on the back of your machine!
* Have a Playstation (PSX) or N64? This will work on those console systems too! (Minus the force-feedback + need to purchase a relatively cheap adapter)
If you've been yearning for that added extra realism to that racing or driving game, the ACT Labs Force RS is what you're looking for. Fork over the cash like I did, and spend HOURS perfecting skills like I have in "Need for Speed: Porsche Unleased" like doing 360 degree spins.
Hard to do on a keyboard.
