Being new to the Palm lifestyle I thoroughly researched all of the PDAs that were within my budget (<$250). The Palm IIIe was rated the best buy according to various online reviews (i.e. CNET.com). I have a lot of friends that bought the Palm V, but I don't feel like it's worth the extra $170 just because it's a thinner model. If you're big into having huge games and reading web pages on your PDA then the Palm IIIe is probably not for you due to the small 2 MB of memory. However, I do have about 7 great games on mine with plenty of memory to spare. If you'll be using the Palm for helping to manage your time, addresses, phone #s, and memos you'll enjoy the Palm IIIe. I highly suggest downloading the DiddleBug and HackMaster applications to make your Palm even more useful.

FYI - I understand that the new m100 model has a smaller screen (about a one-half inch reduction vertically and horizontally). I don't think that was a very good move on Palm's part.
