This is one of the best values in the notebook field. From what I can find out, Sager makes laptops for other companies and also markets its own models. My model has a K-6 III, 128MB RAM, 6 GB HD. Big bright screen with no need (at least for me) to have a separate monitor.
I design websites and use this as my only computer and it is plenty powerful and fast for me.
I first found this company on Ebay and bought it through Powernotebooks.com (Great company and lots of help!!!). As I researched the company, I could not find anything bad until I talked to my partner. He said he had one too, and had a problem with a hard drive and could not get it fixed to his satisfaction, but he still recommended the company. I couldn't believe that someone who had a bad experience would still recommend a company.
When I received it, I started using it right away with no problems. Then, weeks after, the hard drive locked up and they over-nighted me another. I had to re-install all software, which sucked of course, but it worked and still works perfectly as I type this today.
When doing my research, I basically went with this because all the components were top notch and Sager seems to be ahead of the curve when it comes to new chips and BUS boards.
I bought a port replicator with this and although it works fine, its connection is kind of flimsy. I think they could do a better job with this as sometimes you need to push it back into the laptop to get all the connections right.
Great value and I would buy one again no problem.
