| pyleman's Full Review: Abit BF6 |
I purchased the Abit BF6 motherboard for my first homebuilt PC project. I was not happy with the stability of a Compaq desktop PC, and decided to rebuild it with an Abit BF6 motherboard. Because I'm a dual-platform person (this PC is primarily for gaming), I didn't want to spend a lot for the rebuild project. I chose the Abit BF6 based on the recommendations of friends with experience building PCs. This board was the least expensive option available that met my needs. It also provides sufficient expandability options to meet my future needs.
Building the PC with the Abit motherboard was quite easy. The documentation included with the BF6 is excellent, and provides step-by-step instructions on how to assemble the computer. This was VERY helpful for me, as this was my first experience assembling a PC. There is also extensive documentation on configuring the BIOS included on the BF6, very helpful for tweaking a system for best performance. My rebulit system is significantly more stable than the old Compaq, a welcome improvement.
Overall, I consider the Abit BF6 motherboard a real value, and highly recommned it, especially for someone without much experience assembling a PC.
