This game has excellent 3D effects and sound. Compared to the previous Final Fantasy games. However, you must be prepared because this game gets to be extremely addicting. I am not a real hardcore Final Fantasy fan, but I can recognize a good game when I see one and this is outstanding. If you haven't played any Final Fantasy games before
you could have a hard time getting the hang of the fights and how one person attacks at a time and how you choose options from an exaggerated 3rd person perspective. I have, in the past, played games where there is real hand to hand combat where you (the character in the game) can move anywhere you want and do whatever you feel like, instead of choosing from a list of options of moves. But, as time passes it starts to grow on you and you start to accept it. If you haven't really played many other Final Fantasy games before you may have to take a few hours to get to learn how to "draw" magic from other enemies and learning how to junction items you have to give your self defense. Like all games you have to learn how to play them, and if needed this has a very helpful program that teaches all of these skills to you efficiently and quickly. Over all I think this is a definite buy for any RPG fan, Final Fantasy fan, or even a possible for people who love fantasy books about knights and witches and sorcerers
