Buying a Dell is like buying a Cadillac, and who wouldn't want to buy a Cadillac? Of course, you pay good money for a Cadillac, and you're going to buy good money for this Dell, but trust me, it is well worth the hefty price. This baby comes equipped with everything to make any computer user happy, but I would not recommend it for someone who primarily uses their computer for word processing and things of that nature.
If you are a gamer, or someone who uses programs that require some serious resources, or if you're interested in having a computer that will be useful for up to three years, go ahead and drop a chunk of change on this Dell. This bad boy comes with 128 mb of RDRAM, the new superfast ram which runs at 333mhz, increasing speeds up to 116%. You can't pass that up. It will run you nearly $500 to upgrade another 128 mb of RAM, to 256, but you won't need the extra juice with such powerful ram. Don't even get me started on this processor. This baby flies. Intel is still the number one chip maker, forget about AMD, and you can't do better than the 1000 mhz. Of course, in a few months that won't be true, but it is always better to buy one speed below the premium because you can save yourself hundreds of dollars.
For the gamer in us all, this system comes with a GeForce II card that is souped up with the new advanced RAM, thus increasing the capabilities of this card far beyond what any game has been programmed for. Also, the overall speed of the computer and the first rate speakers make this one of the ultimate gaming machines, although nothing can come close to The Alien (see my review on that if you are a serious gamer).
As far as tech support goes, you couldn't ask for anything better. You will find a helpful and friendly staff at Dell, and as long as you don't mess around with the components inside your computer, they will be glad to help you for free. Again, top of the line stuff here.
This system gets my highest rating. Everything you get with it is the absolute top of the line. If you are a gamer or a serious programmer or just someone who likes to type a lot, go ahead and buy this bad boy. Have fun!
