| lagregorynet3's Full Review: Network Solutions.com |
I have read several of the opinions on Network Solutions but I read too late! I will agree that this is the most nonsense I have ever had to deal with. To register my domain was no problem in fact that was the smoothest transaction I had to make. Maybe due to the fact money was involved.
My headaches began just like most of the writers who posted their opinions about the webs Big Brother. Just a simple transfer of hosting companies. Fill out the template and reply via email. Sounds simple enough right? Guess again, I spent 3 weeks emailing back and forth to no avail. I decided to call their 800 number, after trying for a week straight I finally got through. The other times I would remain on hold for over an hour only to be disconnected.
I finally got a chance to speak to a customer service representative to discuss the problems I had been facing. He asked for the tracking numbers I had been given. No problem since I had printed out all of the email transactions. His reply was "Sorry Sir, I don't seem to be able to locate any transactions for the Tracking Number(s) you indicated". I asked him for his fax number and faxed him the papers. And his reply was the same.
Trying to maintain as much sanity as I could muster at this point, I asked him if he could be of assistance. I instructed him as to what I wanted to accomplish. His reply was "can you hold"? More elevator music and 25 minutes later he comes back on saying "Sir I will have to transfer you to one of our tech specialist". More headaches!!!
This time the specialist offered to walk me through the process, I suggested to him that I did not want to be walked through, but for you to input the necessary information. He agreed, I was elated. My problems were finally solved. WRONG!!!!!
He did update the template as instructed and he did say that I would receive an email that I must reply to and that should take care of any mistakes up till now. The games have started again. Only this time I have Tylenol close at hand.
