Spedia
Ok, so I've publicly pegged GetPaid4 as the "best pay to surf" program out there. I had no choice. If you go by the numbers, GetPaid4 is
still the best deal going, even though it's not my best money maker. As I've said before, these programs are very subjective and depend on a number of things such as referral downlines, personal interests, time spent, etc. The BEST is actually the one that you benefit from the most, according to your individual strengths and weaknesses.
During my extensive research, GetPaid4 barely edged out Spedia- one that has been around much longer and made some favorable changes.
Let me guess, you want to know about the $150.47? Well, you'll have to wait, I want to be thorough.
First, for anyone unfamiliar with Pay to Surf programs: These are downloadable adbars or bars supplied on a site that display advertisements on your screen. They pay the user either an hourly amount, or a percentage of the month's revenue based on points, or hours used.
Some have been known to pay as little as $.08 per hour, and to my knowledge of those that have actually sent out checks-as much as $.48 per hour. Many advertise much higher rates, but the fine print will inform you that is their "goal" and rates will be considerably lower until the goal is reached.
What follows are some things that may encourage you to take a closer look at Spedia, and why it's quickly becoming one of my favorite programs.
Pay Rate
The current rate of pay is based on monthly revenue, however, Spedia has held it's payout rate between $.47 and $.54 per hour for six months running. That borders on being considered pretty solid! In addition, Premium Members were paid $.70 and $.71 for the months of Jan. and Feb. of this year (A premium member is considered a "loyal user" based on usage: at least 2 hours a day for 20 days a month)
I receive my Spedia checks regularly, with no problems.
Referral Rates
Spedia does pay the highest direct referral rate (25%) but on the downside of this, only has one referral level (see Cons later on).
More Money
Receiving E-mails- earn 5-10 points for each e-mail advertisement you receive. Again, points have an estimated value according to the monthly revenue.
More Money
Playing games at Spedia is a little more complicated. The amount you win at a given game is not the necessarily the amount you receive in points.
For example: If you win a game of Solitaire, you recieve 5 points. These points have a value of $.09 each. It's beatable..I did it. There are 20 games to chose from, so if you like to play-it can pay!
More Money
Shop Online or participate in Sweepstakes-I'll be honest, these are two I don't fool with. Basically you are given X amount of points for spending X amount of dollars shopping with selected sponsors. If you visit sponsors you can also participate in weekly sweepstakes. (eye roll)
More Money
Ok,Ok..the $150.00 is how much you can earn by signing up for programs through Spedia. (The extra $.47 is because you can do it while your Spedia bar is accumulating points). Of course there are some of these programs you will not want to sign up with, but if you don't mind getting quite alot of e-mail some are just free to join easy services offered on the www. There are over 60 to chose from, and according to spedia the amount of points recieved if you were to sign up for them all is $150.00.
Some good examples:
Game sites, service sites, freestuff, catalogues..these are all completely free and require no more than a signup (and maybe some mail you have to delete as soon as you get it)
Some not so good examples:
Beware some of them like-
Free trial offers (that somehow manage to charge your credit card accidently even though you called to make sure they wouldn't)
Book and music clubs (which most of you already know about)
and if you are addicted to gambling you might want to pass on the whopping 3,500 points you can recieve for downloading free casino software. (although you also get $25 worth of chips with your first deposit)
You can get $150.00 for signing up with all of them, but please use good judgement, as some free things aren't really free!
More pros:
*Adbar is unobtrusive, and I personally haven't had any problems with it.
*You are not required to click on the banners.
*Spedia Hall of Shame. Some might consider this one a "con" but I like it!
Spedia will not tolerate spam or use of cheat software.
Spedia cons:
*Just one referral level
*You must use the spedia bar as much as your referral in order to be paid for his time.
*It's very difficult to track the amount due you, as opposed to programs that pay an hourly fee that isn't based on revenue (like all advantage).
