Create, simulate, and manage an entire Theme Park. Sounds somewhat intriguing, but a little bit bland at first, doesn't it? Well, believe me, once you play this game, you'll get wrapped up in the excitement from the get-go. First, let me preface by saying that I do enjoy "sim" type games such as SimCity and other RTS games such as Command and Conquer. If you hated all of these games because of the nature of a realtime simulation, then, stay away from Roller Coaster Tycoon. You don't deserve it. :) haha..
But, if you DO like those games, read on. Roller Coaster Tycoon really pulls you in from the beginning. You can control everything in your theme park from the location of bathrooms, burger stands, and trees to creating ENTIRE roller coasters and monorails from scratch. Not only can you place roller coasters in your park, but you can create and design them yourself from the ground up. You can even create roller coaster's so extreme that the cars fly off the tracks! Of course you wouldn't want to open those to the public. But you can if you choose. :))
You can even control all aspects of landscaping, location and number of workers, and amazingly, you can click on any individual visitor to see what he or she is thinking at the current time. As your parks grow, you can acquire more land to expand. Imagine roller coasters going over small lakes, surrounded by a lush jungle. Buried in that jungle is your haunted house and tower of terror.
In addition to being hours of fun on your own, the website http://www.rollercoastertycoon.com features downloadable additions to your game for new rides. You can also trade theme parks with other gamers.

Overall: This game is an EXCELLENT simulation and is hours of fun.
