We opened the cow colored box expecting to get another headache from Gateway. Boy were we wrong. This machine absolutly was built correctly. YAY Gateway!
To start out it comes with a blazing fast Pentium III 600mhz proccessor. And it runs at 600 not some lame 540 or some other underclocked speed to make it "more stable." Then they pack it with 128 pc100 ram. Already thats some speed, but then they decided not to stop there. They threw in a Quantium Fireball 7200 rpm 15 gig drive. No slow down there. They continued by putting in a TNT2 32 meg graphics card. 32x Cd-rom didn't hurt either.
ALL the drivers for these devices in any os are on the cd. Another GREAT plus. The machine even is mapped correctly, meaning they made sure inside the box that the proccessor and graphics card got sufficent air flow and that the hot ai could excape, meaning no overheating! They took a plastic tunnel from the power supply, 200 watt, to the prossessor to make sure it stays cool. Sufficent air holes in the fron and back of machine, and if thats not enough, they even left you a extra hole in the back for yet another fan, for all you overclock feinds.... you know who you are.
Bottom Line: is on the bottom
oppss.. ;-) I mean.. bottom line, if you want a FAST machine T a decent price, thats name brand and has 24/7 tech support, and even a MORON could set it up ,color coded everything and labeled, then get this box.
