I bought this mouse looking for an optical USB mouse. Since its optical, there is no need for maintenance or even for a mouse pad. Oh...and it looks VERY slick.

I got it, plugged it in, with win2000 it was good to go without even a computer restart. I didn't need the cd that it came with. I think Windows 98 and Millenium Edition need the cd... which may mean a reboot.

The mouse is very responsive and is accurate with a small exception. The problem with this mouse and every optical mouse is with extremely fast moves (faster than what's needed for fast paced action games).

There are a couple things that make this mouse superior to similar mice in the sub $30 price range. For one, its very comfortable for lefties and righties. But what's most unique about this mouse is how cool it looks. Besides the sporty shape and blue/grey colors, the base lights up with the red laser. The mouse always glows red while the computer on, as a precaution in case that is a problem. It glows brighter red when the mouse is in motion.
