I recently bought the Wacom Graphire in Blueberry. I really liked that you could select a color if it was in stock. I bought mine online at a computer supply website.
I was so excited to have it get here I nearly assaulted every UPS truck that drove by my house. LOL. Finally it came and I was thrilled. I immediately started setting it up and getting the software installed. It was really easy and painless to do.
I really can't draw yet but I am trying to learn and this will give me the extra incentive I need since I spent money on something just for that purpose. I also make fonts though and I think this will also come in handy for maybe adding some more original fonts to the web although we really don't need anymore. LOL.
I don't much care for the mouse. I had a heart attack one day when I suddenly had no control over my corded mouse. I spent several hours trying to figure out what was wrong{I was having a clueless day}. The obvious was staring me right in the face but I did not see it. LOL. It
was the Graphire. I had it plugged in to the USB port and the mouse sitting on top of it. Once you are using the Graphire mouse your other mouse does not work well if at all. So the Graphire mouse is now my seven month olds toy mouse to play with when he tries to reach for mommies mouse. :)
Even though I can't really draw more than simple shapes and stick figures I still love my Graphire and it is one of the better purchases I made this year. I would recommend this to anyone regardless of drawing ability as long as you had the desire to learn how to draw. If you don't
have the desire to learn then I would not buy this.
I also wish the pen had a more stable holder. I have come close to losing it several times. Maybe I will get a chain for it or something. LOL. Hey here is an idea. Velcro!! I can attach it with velcro to the outer edge at the top and never have to worry about losing it again.
