To pen or not to pen at 9x12 (Reply to this comment)

I have been using the 4x5 Graphire and am considering a larger tablet, maybe a 6x8 or 9x12. I do mainly Graphic Design and then digital art and illustration. The main problem with the model I've got is that the edges of the sensible area on the tablet, especially the lower part feels a bit weak. They should have included a broader safe area... I want to know how it is on the 9x12 on a recent model...
