| hoxie's Full Review: eMachines eMonster |
First off, I am most certainly not a computer geek. I like computers. I love the internet. But talk to me in computer mumbo-jumbo, and I'm lost. We recently purchased an Emachine etower 466ix. Our first computer, and older Packard Bell, just wasn't doing the job for us. It was slower than molasses on a cold day, and had a ridiculously small hard drive. We wanted a new computer, but we didn't have a lot of money to spend. I was shopping at Cosco one day, and I spotted this emachine. I quickly jotted down all of the technical junk for my husband, who understands all of that better than I do. Here is what it includes:
466 MHz Intel Celeron Processor, 64 MB SyncDRAM, 128 KB L2 Cache 66 MHz System Bus, 10 GB Hard drive, 40x CD-ROM, 3D AGP Graphics 4 MB Video, 56K Modem, Windows 98, AOL, Compuserve, Netscape, Microsoft Works 2000, Money 2000, a 15" monitor, mouse, keyboard, and speakers. This computer worked out great for us. It was only a little over $700, and it does what we need.
Recommended:
Yes
Amount Paid (US$): around 700 Operating System: Windows Processor: Intel Celeron Processor speed: 401-500 RAM: More than 128 Internal Storage: CD-ROM Hard Drive (GB): 9-12
