As one of the new breed of high-end personal computers, this computer is one of the best that I have seen in recent weeks. The HP Pavilion series has continuously week after week proven that it is going to try to be on the leading edge with the best processor, more RAM, bigger hard drives, etc. This Pavilion is one of the mid-range high-end machines. Has a Pentium III chip, 128 MB RAM, 20 GIG HD, DVD, CD-RW. I added another 128 MB RAM to accommodate my husband’s career, and this machine simply rocks. HP has definitely come up and come together to produce a machine that rarely breaks down into the Windows 98 inevitability “The blue screen of death”. There are a couple other factors that make this computer a great choice for a home system.
1. Cost – With all of the great deals that are going around, I was able to find this machine, a ViewSonic 19” monitor and a few other things for a little over $2000. The cost for the amount of power makes this computer very attractive.
2. Memory – Even without the extra RAM that we added this machine comes very equipped with enough memory to handle almost anything you are going to do on a computer these days.
3. Processor – It comes with a Pentium III top of the line “for now” in the world of processors.
4. Expandability – Adding upgrades and connecting the printer, scanner, digital camera, etc is made very easy.
So if you are in the market for a powerful home computer and aren’t looking to spend a lot of money, look for the HP Pavilion series in next Sunday’s newspaper!
