Great high volume printer

I first came saw this printer in the office of one of my clients, I work for a computer and printer service company. I was very impressed with it. I have worked on several of the earlier laser printers from HP and this one follow's in the footsteps of it's predecessors.
From the very first HP laser printer I worked on a HP II series all the way up to this one, I have always been impressed with HP's reliability and quality. They require very little maintenance, and rarely break down.
The HP 8100 in no exception to the fine quality HP laser printers, I have heard nothing but great comments from the people that use this printer in a busy office environment.
First thing I noticed is the quiet operation for a printer that prints as fast as it does (32 pages per minute). The second thing is it a very compact unit, of course with optional features, like the additional paper trays and the finisher unit (finisher unit and stapler option)the compactness disappears.
This HP 8100 is perfectly suited for a large departmental environment, with its speed and reliability. It can easily handle several workstations sending print jobs. It also comes standard with 16 MB of memory to handle the larger jobs, the larger amount of memory allows the entire print job to be sent to the printer so another workstation can use the printer instead of having to wait every time. Also the more complex the print job more memory is needed.
In closing, I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a high volume printer, and a reliable printer.
