Among all the reward programs on the internet Memolink ranks in the top five. The site has undergone minimal changes over the past year and boasts an extremely satisfied customer base. Memolink caters to the college student, however you do NOT need to be a college student to sign up for this program.
The site can be found at www.Memolink.com
Signing Up & Bonus Program
The sign up process is rather simple; name, address and interests. You will go through three sign up screens, the last of which asks for you college information. You are also asked if you were referred to the site. Some college campus' have Memolink recruiters that pass the word about the site and in return get referral points. You can also utilize this to sign up your friends. Tracking your referrals is easy as pie since you see exactly when the points were earned and when they will be posted to your account. As of today you have to wait 30 - 45 days for the points to be credited to your account.
Earning Points
Memolink offers several ways to earn points. Be sure to check the site often since the opportunities do change from day to day.
Daily Web Site Visits
Once you log into Memolink you can click on "Earn Points Completing Offers". You will see a page filled with offers ranging from 5 points to 250 points. One this page you will find daily 5 point offers to visit web sites. Also, offers to sign up for free catalogs, web products (such as a Gator download for 100 points), points for filling out credit card applications and more. The is also a daily survey question on the main page worth 5 points. You have to wait until the next day to see the answer and get the points in your account.
Earn Points Shopping
Pretty much self explanatory. You buy stuff and get points for it. The hottest deal is Food.Com. If you place and order for a food delivery (pizza, Chinese etc.) you get 500 points. I haven't tried this yet but those that have say it is pretty easy. I would hold on to any paperwork or E Mail confirmations until your points are credited. I don't use this section that much but you can get great deals on magazines, music and floral delivery. Some name brand stores that offer points for purchases are PetSmart, FogDog, Toys R Us and PlanetRX.
Filling out Surveys
Here is where you can earn an easy 25 points by filling out surveys. In all honesty, these take less than a minute and rarely contain more than 6 questions. Recently there was a 100 point survey that I missed. You have to check this page often to catch them. Some of the topics have been Web Preferences, Sex on Campus (this did come with a warning), Political Views and Online Habits.
All Point Earning Offers
This is the last section on the main pages. It clumps all the offers together for a faster view. I try to check this page every two weeks. I have found a few 100 point offers that weren't on the other pages.
The Prizes
Now to the good stuff. Once you have saved up enough points it's time to SHOP! The smallest prize amount is 1,000 Memolink points which you can cash in for a $5.00 gift certificate to Subway, Burger King or Wendy's. In my opinions this isn't a great value when you can spend 1,800 points and get a $10.00 gift certificate to Wal Mart.
Here are some examples of what you can get:
$10.00 Wal Mart Certificate 1,800 Memolink Points
$15.00 Wal Mart Certificate 2,600 Memolink Points
$25.00 Wal Mart Certificate 4,100 Memolink Points
$50.00 Wal Mart Certificate 8,100 Memolink Points
In addition to Wal Mart you can also use your points to get certificates from Blockbuster, Barnes & Noble, Tower Records Best Buy, Sharper Image, Pizza Hut, Bennigans, Olive Garden and Steak & Ale. Just added: You can got a gas card for use at BP Gas Stations. A $25.00 card is only 4,400 points.
The usual delivery time of a gift certificate is 7 - 14 days. I have ordered several Wal Mart ones (the send the paper gift certificates that arrive blank) that arrived in four to five days. I am not sure if they are going to upgrade to the plastic gift cards.
One of the best things about Memolink is that when you sign on you see your point total, your referral points and how much you have cash in to date. When you go from page to page this information is instantly updated. The customer service team responds to all questions within 24 hours.
Will all the good there must be some bad right? Some pages load slowly if you do not disable your graphics. Some AOL users have had trouble logging in over the past few weeks and Memolink is addressing this issue. I have never had trouble with points not being credited but people that have had trouble always got the points they deserved. You have to be careful of off site offers such as BMG Music Club. You were offered 500 points to sign up however if you stayed at the BMG site too long Memolink did not recognize that you took advantage of the offer. The solution, forward a copy of the Welcome to BMG E Mail to Memolink to get the points.
If you like Freeride then you owe it to yourself to give Memolink a try. I have a few people who signed up with my account name and the points they earn do add up as referral points. If you are willing to try Memolink you can look forward to a 5 minute visit a day. I haven't noticed any spam or unwanted mail as a result of signing up for this program. Have fun!!!
TIP
If you want to know who is sending you spam or mail try this trick. When you sign up for a program use variations of your name. Example; Joan R. Smith, Joan Smith, Joanie Smith etc. If you notice spam or standard postal mail arriving under a certain name you can cross-reference it and see who is selling your information. I wrote a letter to a company and used my maiden name and married name just to see if I this company would sell my name. Within one month I received three offers in the mail under this name. Needless to say, I called the company and blasted them for putting my name on lists that they sell.
UPDATE
I completely forgot that I wrote a review of this site. I have given up on this site for one reason they lie. I cashed out for a Wal-Mart gift card and was told that it would be mailed within 4 6 weeks. Seven months later it finally came in the mail. This was after numerous emails and a few phone calls [voice mail] stating that the site had gone down hill and needed to either tell the truth about redemptions or close their doors. If I was told that there would be such a long wait I wouldnt have been as mad as when I was given the same old song and dance with each email.
Ive been back to the site a few times and each time there was a new design. Long gone are the earning opportunities the way it looks now youll be working all year to earn a $10.00 gift card and another year waiting for it to arrive.
As always, thanks for the visit!
