I bought this sucker to talk to my friends and/or relatives with pictures, I haven't decided if I want to do this over the internet or straight telephone. I was going to give one to my cousin, and bought an Intel (with video capture) for myself. When he installed the IBM and we talked, I thought that the poor quality of the picture was due to the internet traffic. I got it back, and compared the image with the Intel camera. There was no comparison. With the Intel, the image is clear and sharp. With the IBM, the picture is murky, poor definition, bad colors, generally like looking at something without my glasses, in a fog, and with blinders on. In addition, the light compensation was very poor.

I do not recommend this camera at all. I returned it immediately to the store and got the basic Intel. This worked as well as the Intel Pro. The only web cams I tried were the IBM and the Intels (the pro and the basic).
