If your looking for a simple yet stable motherboard than look no further. I've ran a couple of these and they are very stable. You simply plug your processor and memory on this and it sets itself. They have recently tested and upgraded the BIOS on this unit and it works with Promise Technologies ATA/66 adapter cards. For blazing fast hard drive speeds. You can pick these up on the NET for around 60 to 80 bucks. This also comes bundled with a free copy of Norton AntiVirus. Also a hardware monitoring utility. A PCI register Read/Write Utility for checking and modifying PCI registers. Motherboard drivers and Chipset drivers. Even an Online jumper and BIOS setting user's guide. They also sell a PRO version of this mother board. All the details on the PRO board can be found at AOPEN's Web Site. But you get all the goodies with this board. USB, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, Two serials, LPT port, 1 AGP 4X port, 5 PCI ports with 2 ISA ports. One of the ports is a shared port. 3 DIMM slots. I've got multiple configurations running on mine with most of the ports filled. Still it remains stable. Even under low power condition. I had a bad fan draining the power to the motherboard for at least a couple weeks and it still ran without bluescreening. I only experienced a slowing of operation. Motherboards are a backbone of your entire computer. Always try to use a higher quality motherboard. Don't just try to save money now it will cost you in the end.
