www.freelotto.com is actually a free lottery site! No credit card number required; no wealth of information down to your dog's shoe size required; no trick of "play one game free, now pay for all the other games you want to play".
Freelotto allows you to play a standard lottery game, choosing 6 numbers out of 54. You are allowed to pick 3 sets of numbers each day, although they occasionally run specials and give you more daily picks. the payoffs are about what you would expect for a free game. 6 out of 6 gets you $1,000,000,000 , 5 out of 6 is only $300, 4 out of 6 is only $5, and 3 out of 6 is $1. In case you were worrying, yes, they actually do pay off the low amounts. I recently received a check from FreeLotto for $1. there is never an offer to let you play more games if you send in money.
The major downside is that in order to send in your picked numbers, you are required to click on a "sponsor"s banner", which takes you to that sponsors site. 30 seconds pass while a banner says "Please wait while processing your selection", which is just a way to get you to actually look at the sponsors site. If you have more picks for that day, clicking on the button to play again opens up a new web browser, leaving the old sponsors site in the current window, which must be shut down. Sometimes, instead of banners, there is a question to answer in order to register your picks. These questions are very general, more marketing research than anything else. I have never been sent an email from any sponsor associated with Freelotto that I did not ask for specifically.
For you people that can't live without your Java, the game board comes as a Java applet, with cute cash register sounds when you pick a number, and options to let the computer pick for you. For people like me who are tired of watching Java hang on my browser, you can select a non-Java version of the game board. This option is remembered, and the non-Java version is the default version from now on.
All in all, Freelotto is one of the best lottery sites out there, especially for someone who just wants to play around a little and not have to pay, or give out tons of information.
