What can I say? This thing is perfect! First of all you get a free SCSI-2 PCI card (the internal version for sure, that's what I bought, I'm not sure about the external version). This allows for less CPU usage when using the drive and faster transfers rates. In addition, the 8x burning speed allows you to burn an entire 74 minute CD in under 10 minutes! Talk about speed. Got a favorite CD you play all the time but it's starting to get a few scratches and you're scared it won't work? No problem! Just fire this bad boy up and you can have a copy in no time! Even if you don't have any CD ROM on your computer at all because it broke or whatever, you can use this drive to just read. The 20x read speed is more than enough for any program out there.
