This is my third Dell computer and I would never choose another. My last was a Dell 266, so I expected some performance boost to a 700 system, but what a fantastic machine. I also went for the added options of Harmon/Kardon speakers with subwoofer, 15" flat screen, built in 250 mg zip drive, DVD, writeable CD, 28 gig hard drive and 128 RAM. With my new DSL connection (when it works) there is nothing this machine can't do.
Dell has never disappointed me with any service they offer: great knowledgeable salespeople with a soft sell, great help desk and decent prices. I had one problem with a built in omega zip drive and Dell sent someone here the very next day to replace it for free. I have had no other problems with them, ever.
My programs run at lightning speed, music sounds better than on my regular stereo, DVD movies look better than on my TV and games were never such a pleasure. Sometimes the system is so fast that I can't use the keyboard fast enough.
There is also plenty of room for growth my 28 gig hard drive still has 22 gigs open, plenty of room for hefty pictures, mp3's or more programs.
I am experienced enough not to require Dell help any longer, but if you ever need the help it's great to know Dell will always be there.
