The Dell INSPIRON 7500 is one of the best laptops around. It's fast and reliable, it will never let you down. This performs as well as computers with processor speeds of up to 100 Mhz higher, Pentium generation III. I own a Compaq 7588, a desk top with a 550 Mhz CPU Pentium III, and 128 MB RAM and this laptop could easily be the partner to my desk top.
The screen is large (for a laptop) and very easy to read. The laptop is larger than your average laptop (just a bit), but comes with a fantastic carrying case and most of the software you want. Extras you might want to add are financial programs (like Quicken) or games.
Overall it has plenty of GB, it's fast and reliable w/433 Mhz Pentium II CPU, and plenty of RAM. It's quick on the Internet, and easy to hook and unhook from all your cables and power cords.
I use the laptop for work, in fact it's owned by my employer, who purchased many many of these Dell's. I work for the US Government, so many equals thousands. I also use a Dell desktop in my office- and have never (yet) been dissatisfied with a Dell product.
