This place is really too good to last. I mean look, you can download pretty much any song you want for free. This is great while is lasts. I had heard a lot of talk about this controversial site, but never actually checked it out until the other day. I was reading some epinions about napster and decided to check it out for myself. My opinion is, it’s greeeeaaaaaaaaat.
Just go to the web site www.napster.com, and you can download any song you want. First you have to download the Napster software. I have a 56K modem and it took about 15 minutes. Then just search for the songs you want. You can find the song by the artist or by the name. Now every song in the world is not on there, but a lot of songs are there. This is very easy to use. Anyone can figure it out. Why go out and buy a CD for only one or two songs? Now all you have to do is download the ones you want.
Now, lets look at the other side of this. The musicians are losing money. No one will buy a CD or tape anymore, that is proving they have access to the Internet. I’m sure this will not be able to go on forever. For new musicians this will give them a great way for people to hear their music.
What will happen to Napster? Who knows, but for as long as we have access to it totally free this is great. However, I do feel sorry for the musicians. Just look at how much money they are losing. I know that I have downloaded songs that eventually I would have went to the store and bought the CD.
