Yes, it's true, 3dfx has sold all rights, chips and patents to Nvidia. So What does this mean? Well, the product will remain out there but all support, updated drivers, and tech support is up to 3Dfx, a defunct company. Should that stop you from purchasing this product? In my opinion no. This is a great graphics card and top of the line if you dont want to spend $500 for a GeFroce2. As for the drivers and support it should be a problem. 3Dfx is known for their reliable cards and the drivers wont need to be updates unless you're a serious games who needs top of the line performance.
