| czirakir's Full Review: HP Pavilion 6540C |
After owning two 'clone' machines in the past and with the last one dying on me much too soon, I ventured back into the dizzy world of computer retail stores. After listening and trying both 'clones' and brand name machines I decided that for the price that the HP6540c was a good choice. I was not disappointed. The one selling feature I liked was the internet keyboard. this keyboard has buttons that can connect you and take you to specific internet sites ie: e-mail, search, shopping and comes with two keys that can be custom setup to whatever. In addition there is a volume knob on the keyboard and control buttons for cd/dvd. This machine also came with a CD-writer. This little toy allows me to record music from a cd and record it on a blank. This will let me record my favorite tunes from several cd's all onto one.
At first I was a little leary of the 466 mhz Celeron processor but since using the machine have had no regrets about not purchasing a much more expensive P111 .
In my opinion I made the right choice and highly recommend that you venture out and look at this model.
