| CreamChief's Full Review: Goldtouch Keyboard |
When people see my keyboard, their reactions range from "huh?" to "do you like that thing?" I love it. My wrists are in much less pain now, and I type in comfort.
The keyboard splits down the middle, and you can adjust two different angles. The first angle makes the keyboard like a tent. The adjustment ranges from flat (why bother) to about a 45 degree angle. The other adjustment determines how much of a "V" is formed by the split in the middle. Of course, with both adjustments you can come up with a pretty wacky looking keyboard. The two halves are connected with a ball joint at the top center. This allows for all of those different angles.
I found that adjusting to the new keyboard was quick. In fact, it is very difficult going back to a "normal" keyboard once you have experienced typing with your hands at comfortable angles. The most difficult adjustment is getting used to the location of keys like 'home' and 'delete.' I unfortunately did not get the optional keypad so I am left pecking at the row of numbers at the top.
Otherwise, the keyboard is a standard PS/2 interface. It hooked up to my PC with no problem.
