It's 5am on December 31, 1999 and I am sitting here reviewing AIM 3.0. I have just completed two other computer related epinions and I am now starting on my third. I have no clue what I am still doing up, perhaps it was the four white castle cheeseburgers I ate an hour and a half ago. But anyway, I'm sitting here on the all new AIM 3.0. by America Online and I have come to this decision: AOL Instant Messenger 3.0 is a kick in the teeth to all the AOL members that actually pay the $21.95 a month to use AOL's services.
Not only is the AIM 3.0 service free, it's easier to use and better than AOL. The only item that AIM lacks when compared to AOL 5.0 is the chat room feature. This is the only drawback but certain other features make up for this. You can send hyperlinks without the use of HTML tags, you can make a :) face into a colorful smiley face, you can send files through IM's, and you can leave an customizable message for anyone that decides to send you an instant message while your away from your computer. All these features are not available on the new AOL 5.0, you know the one that costs $21.95 a month.
I am also going to offend many people by saying that AIM 3.0 is better than ICQ and most of the people I know use AIM over ICQ. I use AIM and so should you. Go download this product now, and in case anybody was interested my aim name is green gum balls. Keep in touch ok.
