We, and several of our friends, have tried out several scanners. We have found all of them to be a bit complicated, including this one, at first.
The scanner scans excellent quality photos, and is extremely easy to use once you wade through all the excess software and find what you need to be using. The one touch buttons automatically change the settings for different photo types, such as glossy, black and white, or regular. The preview option allows you to scan just the picture and not all the black around the photo, thus cutting down on scan time and making a nicer finished photo.
There is way too much software bundled with this, and the directions are not clear. I have several friends who love this scanner, but only because they were able to call me to figure out how to use it.
The size is wonderful, it is not bulky and does not take up a lot of room.
